DoCo Vacation Rentals LLC ("DoCo Vacations," "we," "us") manages vacation rentals in Door County, Wisconsin. This policy explains what personal information we collect through docovacations.com (the "Site"), how we use and share it, and the choices you have. By using the Site, you agree to this policy.

Information We Collect

Information you give us:

• Booking and quote details: your name, email address, phone number, stay dates, and number of guests.
• Government ID: after you book, we may ask for a government-issued ID when you sign the rental agreement. We use it only to verify your identity and protect the security of our properties, and we keep it as described in "Data Retention."
• Payment information: card details entered at checkout. Payments are processed by GuestyPay. We do not store full card numbers.
• Email signup: your email address, if you join our list through the signup pop-up.
• Messages: anything you send us by email, including job applications sent to hello@docovacations.com (for example, your resume and contact details).
• Reviews: feedback or reviews you leave after a stay.

Information collected automatically: like most websites, the Site and our service providers may collect technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and how you arrived at the Site, using cookies and similar technologies. See "Cookies and Analytics" below.

How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to:

• Provide quotes, take and manage bookings, and process payments
• Communicate with you about your stay, including check-in details and support
• Coordinate cleaning, maintenance, and other services needed for your stay
• Send marketing emails if you signed up (see "Email Marketing")
• Display guest reviews on the Site
• Review job applications
• Understand how the Site is used and improve it
• Verify guest identity, prevent fraud, protect our properties and guests, and meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations

Booking and Payment Providers

Bookings, quotes, and guest details are processed through Guesty, our property management and booking platform. Card payments are processed by GuestyPay. These providers handle your information under their own privacy policies and security standards. We do not store full card numbers on our systems.

Email Marketing

Our email signup pop-up collects your email address so we can send news, offers, and a discount on your first booking. Our email list is managed through Mailchimp. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email or by emailing hello@docovacations.com. Even if you unsubscribe, we may still send you messages about an existing booking.

Cookies and Analytics

The Site is hosted on Cloudflare, which may set cookies or collect technical data needed to keep the Site secure and running.

We also use Google Analytics, Google advertising tags, and the Meta Pixel to understand Site traffic and measure our ads. These tools use cookies and similar technologies to collect information about your visit, such as pages viewed and actions taken. Google and Meta may use this information to measure ad performance and to show you personalized ads on their platforms and elsewhere, including on Google services, Facebook, and Instagram. At checkout, the secure payment form is provided by GuestyPay, which may use its own cookies or similar technologies to process your payment and prevent fraud.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of targeted advertising as described in "Targeted Advertising and Your Opt-Out Choices." Blocking some cookies may affect how the Site works, including booking features.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only as follows:

• Service providers who help deliver your stay: for example, cleaning and maintenance contractors receive only the information they need, such as stay dates or access details.
• Technology and payment providers: including Guesty, GuestyPay, Mailchimp, and Cloudflare, which process information on our behalf to run bookings, payments, email, and the Site.
• Advertising partners: Google and Meta receive information through cookies and tags on the Site, as described in "Cookies and Analytics."
• Legal and tax requirements: when required by law or legal process, including Wisconsin room tax reporting, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our guests, owners, or others.
• Business transfers: if our business is sold or reorganized, information may transfer to the new owner under this policy.

Targeted Advertising and Your Opt-Out Choices

Under some state privacy laws, letting Google and Meta collect information through our Site for targeted advertising may count as "sharing" (or, in some states, "selling") personal information, even though no money changes hands. You can opt out in any of these ways:

• Global Privacy Control: we honor browser opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC). If your browser sends one, we treat it as a request to opt out of targeted advertising for that browser.
• Email us: send an opt-out request to hello@docovacations.com.
• Google: adjust or turn off personalized ads in your Google Ads Settings (My Ad Center).
• Meta: adjust your ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram settings (Meta Ad Preferences).

Opting out does not mean you will see no ads, but the ads you see may be less relevant to you.

Guest Reviews

Reviews shown on the Site come from guests, including reviews they have posted publicly on Google, Airbnb, and VRBO, as well as reviews guests send to us directly. Reviews are shown with the name the reviewer used when posting (often a first name, or a first and last name), or with a generic label such as "Guest" or "Airbnb guest." If you would like a review removed from our Site, contact us. To change or remove a review on Google, Airbnb, or VRBO itself, use that platform's tools.

Data Retention

We keep personal information, including booking records, government ID information, and reviews, for as long as we need it for business, legal, tax, and accounting purposes. In practice, this may mean we keep records indefinitely. If you ask us to delete your information, we will do so where the law requires, though we may keep information we need to meet legal or tax obligations. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information, and we rely on established providers for bookings, payments, and hosting. No website or online transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Choices and State Privacy Rights

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time, and you can contact us to access, correct, or delete your personal information. We may need to keep some information to complete a booking or meet legal obligations.

Residents of some U.S. states, such as California, may have additional rights under state privacy laws. These can include the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to request a copy, to correct or delete it, and to opt out of "sharing" or "selling" for targeted advertising (see "Targeted Advertising and Your Opt-Out Choices"). We will not discriminate against you for using these rights. To make a request, email hello@docovacations.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it. Bookings must be made by an adult at least 21 years old.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and change the effective date. Significant changes may also be shared by other means.
